Peristaltic pump

Stepper motors are well suited for pumps. Due to their capability of controlled and arbitrary slow motion also dispensing tasks can easily be solved while costs and space for gear units can be saved, which also increases life time. When driven by a state-of-the-art control, the motor noise isn't a problem anymore.
