MOCONTRONIC introduced their new system for safe positioning of doors and flaps as a fair novelty on the Motek 2017.
The system is suited for sorting- and storage-systems or for the presentation of goods in the POS-field. Through the innovative direct surveillance of the door or flap shaft, the position of the shaft is known at all times provides -in cooperation with the Trinamic ICs of the drive- a safe regulation independent of the position of the motor. The system is connectable and expandable and can be adapted to the needs of the customer.
The construction shown here represents a typical application, inter alia, in the food sector, for instance for chilled distribution depots or the refrigerated section. With this solution, various possibilities of automatized opening can be realized:
- Moving of the respective flap for supported opening or closing
- Opening through a key stroke on the touch pad, closing occurs automatically
- Automated program
- Gesture recognition through the connecting of an infrared sensor

The usage of an infrared sensor is especially useful in the fresh produce area because no direct contact is necessary!
